Privacy Policy
The SageWork School of Awareness Operated by SageWork LLC, United States Effective 17 August 2026
This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. We collect as little as we can.
1. Who is responsible
SageWork LLC, a limited liability company organized in the United States, is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at privacy@sagework.life.
2. What we collect
When you create an account: your name and email address, and a password (stored encrypted — we cannot see it).
When you buy something: your payment is handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe receives your card details directly. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of what you bought, when, and for how much.
When you use the school: which lessons you have opened, your progress, quiz and assessment answers, and anything you post in the community.
When you email us or ask for support: whatever you write to us.
Automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how long you stay. This comes from cookies and similar technology — see our Cookie Policy.
If you subscribe to the Daily Cup: your email address, and whether you opened a given email.
3. Why we collect it
- To give you the account, membership, courses and gatherings you signed up for
- To take payment and keep records of it
- To show you your progress and pick up where you left off
- To answer you when you write to us
- To send you the Daily Cup and other email you asked for
- To understand what is being read and used, so we make better material
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse
- To meet our legal and tax obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.
4. Who else sees it
Only the services we need to run the school:
| Service | What it does | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| LearnWorlds | Hosts the school | Account, progress, community posts |
| Stripe | Takes payment | Name, email, payment details |
| Our email provider | Sends the Daily Cup and account email | Name, email, open/click activity |
| Captivate | Hosts the podcast | Listening statistics, not tied to your account |
| Analytics | Tells us which pages are read | Anonymised usage data |
Each of these handles information on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
If the business is ever sold or transferred, account information would move with it. We would tell you first.
5. How long we keep it
Account and progress information stays while your account is open, and for a reasonable period after you close it in case you come back. Purchase and tax records are kept as long as the law requires, usually seven years. Email subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your account sooner.
6. Your choices
You can, at any time:
- See what we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your account and the information tied to it, except what we must keep for tax and legal reasons
- Take a copy of what you have given us
- Unsubscribe from any email — every one has an unsubscribe link, and using it never affects your membership
- Object to how we are using something, or ask us to restrict it
Write to privacy@sagework.life and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK and EU GDPR. We honour these for everyone, wherever you are.
7. Security
Traffic to the site is encrypted. Passwords are hashed. Payment details never touch our systems. Access to member information is limited to the people who need it to run the school. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — if something happens that affects you, we will tell you.
8. Children
The school is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.
9. Where information is held
Our providers are based in the United States and may process information there and elsewhere. Where information moves internationally, we rely on our providers' standard safeguards.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell members where the change is significant.
